The idea of a soccer team for social and other reasons, had been long back in our Honorary President Marcos Perris` thoughts.

The team was founded in 10 seconds in 1997 (after  Marcos moved to Athens ACC from Corfu airport). Minutes later the team broke up and since then remains so.To fulfill our man`s dream, Athens soccer team proved capable only for social activities. The only sport that team (members rather) specializes in, is Greek table gymnastics (tavernas, cafeterias and so on). All members suffer from Sunday morning hangovers.

The Team consists  (consisted?) of a bunch of people whose number is vague and changing with time. No subscription or other commitment is required. The only requirement for someone to join is to say so (or just show up without prior notification). To leave the team all you need to do is not to show up (without prior notification).

Agonisticaly, team has no style, tactics or system. Unlike all teams in the world, Athens soccer team consists mostly of  soccer theoreticals, coaches, managers and a couple of players.

The team's future is not known but nobody cares anyway. The only objective is to have fun (today).
